【New Blog】Inflamed Neck Epidermoid Cyst: 8-Year Scarless Outcome
We have published a new blog article presenting a clinical case
of aninflamed epidermoid cyst of the neck treated at our clinic.
The cyst was surgically removed using punch excision despite significant inflammation.
Postoperative care was managed
with Natsui-style moist wound healing,
without disinfection or antibiotics.
At an 8-year follow-up, there was no visible scar,
making it difficult even for the operating surgeon to identify
the surgical site.
Because the neck is a highly visible and mobile area
where scarring is common,
this case demonstrates that appropriate surgical technique
and postoperative wound care
can achieve excellent long-term outcomes, even in inflamed cases.

This case highlights the importance of long-term
follow-up in epidermoid cyst surgery.
Appropriate technique and wound management play a crucial role in minimizing scarring.
