This time, we would like to share a case involving a patient in their 40s
who sustained an injury after falling while running.
● The reason for the visit: Discovered “Natsui-style moist wound healing” online
The patient suffered abrasions after a fall during a run.
After researching online, they chose to visit our clinic specifically seeking Natsui-style moist wound healing.
● Treatment details: Hydrocolloid dressing used / No disinfection or antibiotics
We treated the wound using a hydrocolloid dressing, which is designed for moist wound care.
In line with the principles of Natsui-style moist wound healing,
no disinfection was performed at any point.
There were no signs of infection, so no antibiotics were prescribed.
The patient was able to take showers and bathe daily during the treatment process,
allowing them to maintain their regular lifestyle while healing.
● A joyful reunion 6 years later
Six years later, the patient returned to our clinic for an unrelated issue.
The moment they entered the consultation room, they smiled and said:
“Doctor, it healed so beautifully!”
We were able to take a follow-up photo, and indeed,
the scar was barely noticeable, showing an exceptionally clean and aesthetic healing result.
We were truly pleased and once again reminded of the remarkable power of moist wound healing.
