📌 New Case Report Published
We have posted a new blog article featuring a 62-year-old male patient who had a sebaceous cyst (epidermoid cyst) on his left sideburn.
Initially, he was treated at another clinic with antibiotics and told to “wait and see.” However, his symptoms persisted. After searching online, he found our clinic and visited us for further treatment.
At our clinic, we performed a minimally invasive punch excision, a method that removes the cyst and its sac through a small circular incision using a biopsy punch. This technique results in:
-
Minimal scarring
-
Low recurrence rate
-
Outpatient procedure with local anesthesia
Postoperative wound care was managed using the Natsui-style moist wound healing method, which:
-
Requires no disinfection or gauze changes
-
Allows daily bathing from the next day
-
Reduces pain and promotes beautiful healing
No antibiotics or disinfectants were used, yet the wound healed smoothly with no signs of infection.

The patient returned to our clinic for an unrelated concern. We re-examined the previous surgical site and were pleased to find that it had healed beautifully—no visible scar remained.
The patient shared his appreciation, saying:
“I’m so glad it healed cleanly.”
He kindly gave us permission to take and share a photo of the area.
